ROSEBUD TOURISM / ATTRACTIONS
Welcome... To The Beautiful Homelands of the Sicangu Lakota Oyate.
This website is the result of over eleven years of community tribal based cultural tourism planning work conducted by the Rosebud Sioux Tribe Tourism Office beginning in May of 1994.  Although this office has documented past tourism efforts conducted by the Rosebud Sioux Tribe as far back as 1961; this website provides information beginning in 1994 to 2005.  The tourism office gathered, collected and compiled information based on research and appropriate development ranging from one-to-one visits with tribal members, attending Rosebud Reservation community meetings, collaborating and networking with other RST tribal programs and organizations, private sector and program sponsored meetings with tribal artists, crafts people, spiritual leaders, and Sun Dance leaders.  The final goal to ultimately provide planning work that further strengthens, supports and promotes appropriate and authentic Lakota cultural information for contemporary society.
